This workshop is being held so that female veterans living in Wales can get together to be heard and discuss challenges and experiences.
About this event
We are really keen to get as many female veterans together to chat about any challenges you have faced since leaving the military. Also, to share any positive experiences you have had since becoming a veteran.
We will be focusing on these 6 key themes:
🔸 Community & relationships
🔸 Employment, education & skills
🔸 Finance & debt
🔸 Health & wellbeing
🔸 Making a home in civilian society
🔸 Veterans & the law
This project is being led by 2 female veterans and this workshop is a space where we can come together for you to be seen and to be heard.
The keynote speaker for the event is Dr Lauren Godier-McBard, Senior Research Fellow & Women and Equalities Research Lead at the Veterans and Families Institute, Anglia Ruskin University.
As a collective, we have the power to drive positive change.
