BFBS is pleased to announce the launch of its new boxing series, Forces Fight Night, starting with the Inter-Services Championships on Wednesday, 20 March, live and exclusive on the Forces News YouTube channel and BFBS TV.
For years, Forces News and BFBS Sport have championed talented young boxers within the Armed Forces. Now, they are thrilled to introduce a dedicated series showcasing live boxing action, which can be watched by anyone worldwide.
Lisa Mitchell, Director of Editorial Content BFBS, states,
“We’re so excited to introduce the Forces Fight Night series. We know that the UK Armed Forces love boxing, and there is so much amazing talent within the services. We are delighted to be able to bring the action to the Armed Forces community around the world and make it available to anyone who loves boxing via our Forces News YouTube channel.”
The inaugural Forces Fight Night event will feature military boxers competing in the prestigious Inter-Services Championships in Aldershot. The top fighters from the Army, RAF, and Royal Navy will go punch-to-punch in the ring, vying to be the best service.
From 7:15pm on Wednesday 20 March viewers can catch an evening of excitement and sportsmanship as Forces Fight Night presents the best military boxing talent in a nail-biting live broadcast experience. There will be 11 bouts including two female bouts.
BFBS Sport reporter Simon Hunter will be joined in the commentary box by Royal Navy and former GB boxer Lucy O’Connor and Army and former ABA Champion Chez Nihell.
