SSgt Claire is a serving soldier who has done 21 years’ service in the Royal Logistic Core and is one of our beneficiaries. She now shares her heartfelt story from 2016 about how she fell pregnant with her son.
She had just been posted to a new Unit with no family or friends around her for support. Her ex-partner had walked out on her son when he was just 3 months old, and Claire was suffering with post-natal depression as well as dealing with a broken family for her son.
Recently, she went away to Centre Parks in Longleat with Give Us Time. This was the first holiday her and her son had had together. She has now made the decision to make it a yearly trip with her son as that will be their “happy place.”
