Greenwich Hospital has been providing support to serving and former Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel and their families for over 325 years. Their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, as we aim to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of those in need of support. Founded in 1694, we are a unique Crown body and the oldest Royal Navy charity. Last year, we spent nearly £6m in grants and other charitable activity in areas including education, housing and employability.
We have a new grants strategy, which seeks to draw together existing research to guide the current and future funding of charitable support, and the expansion of our proactive and preventative funding to support education and families. This expanded remit means we now seek to recruit to this new role. The Planning and Education Grants Manager will join our existing charity team of 3.
You will empathise with Greenwich Hospital’s mission and the personnel (past and present) of Royal Navy and their families. You will have the ability to engage easily with Navy structures and personnel, especially on the welfare side. Please visit Greenwich Hospital for further details and how to apply.
Deadline for receipt of applications: 5 p.m. on Wednesday 20 September
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to in-person interviews in London on
Tuesday 26 September.
Greenwich Hospital aims to be an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, including former members of the armed services
