Help stop the lights going out this Christmas

You know what they say, “good things come in ten.”

Maybe that’s not quite right, but the saying deserves to be altered for FirstLight Trust’s winter campaign! This December, “Help Stop the Light Going Out: Give £10, Nominate 10, Support 10”. Just donate £10 using the link below, nominate 10 friends or family members by tagging them in one of our social media posts about the campaign or simply forward this information on.

Why? Because you will be helping someone in need, and you will be sharing the gift of giving with your friends and family. For the price of three cups of coffee you can help FirstLight Trust in preventing homelessness. Please follow the link to watch a short film on the incredibly effective work they are doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqb3wlBaqLw

This is a time of year when street sleeping is life threatening. RD, a homeless veteran supported by the charity says,

“I don’t think I could have done this on my own, I wouldn’t even know where to start… I know I’m going to be happy here [in my new home] and can’t thank you enough for all you have done.”

JRJ, another veteran supported by the Trust explains,

“Everything is great now thanks to [FirstLight Trust], everything is coming together in time for Christmas. Can’t thank [them] enough.” FirstLight Trust is asking for your help so that they can support many more like RD and JRJ.

Donate here now and you help make a difference: https://www.firstlighttrust.co.uk/donate-to-prevent-homelessness/ or text LIGHTSON (no gaps) to 70085 to donate £10. Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message.

On behalf of RD, JRJ and many others like them, FirstLight Trust thanks you and wishes you a very joyous Christmas.
