Looking to the Future: Building a Planet-Friendly, People-Friendly Business

Join us to discuss how you can build your business with a mind to the future, implementing sustainable, ethical processes on 16 July.

About this Event

Increasingly, customers are choosing to buy from businesses whose values fit with their ethical and ecological ideals, but this comes at a cost to businesses that cannot always be passed to the consumer. Join us to discuss how you can build your business with a mind to the future, implementing sustainable, ethical processes without sacrificing profitability.

Our speaker, Iqbal Wahhab OBE, is currently sitting on a government economic recovery task force, developing a Start Right programme incentivising start-ups to embed social and sustainable commitments. We are delighted to say that Iqbal is a Heropreneurs Mentor. He has built a reputation for delivering world-class excellence through his highly successful restaurant businesses, Roast and The Cinnamon Club. He has exited both restaurants and is planning new ventures.

Iqbal has won a number of major awards and accolades during his career. He was voted one of the Top 10 Restaurateurs in Britain in an Independent on Sunday survey and listed in the Caterer Power 100, GQ 100 Most Connected and The Sunday Times Maserati Top 100 business start-up mentors.

He works a lot with ex-offenders and chairs a review on the treatment of black and Muslim people in the criminal justice system. He was until recently High Sherriff of Greater London.
