Kitchener’s Holiday Centre in Lowestoft, Suffolk offer very well priced and well situated breaks for serving and ex-service personnel and their families. Open from April to October prices are very reasonable (from £170 half board pp; B&B from £21 pp pn).
With very limited money/resources for Centre publicity; the delightful Centre on the seafront is heavily reliant on word of mouth. Founded as a memorial to Field Marshal Lord Kitchener, with Lady Emma Kitchener as their Patron, they now have a declining population of service personnel using the Centre.
They are looking to use free methods to publicise their Centre to increase bookings and thus Seafarers UK suggested that Cobseo members’ newsletter may be one way.
