The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, though our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.
This year the Museum is hosting summer placements and we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
National Living/Minimum Wage*
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Chelsea History Festival team to deliver and support digital communications in the run up and during the Chelsea History Festival. The Chelsea History Festival launched in September 2019, and is a partnership between the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Chelsea, The Chelsea Physic Garden and Cadogan. The Festival, is a celebration of history in the heart of west London and the annual activation event of the new Chelsea Heritage Quarter.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for using digital media to write and create engaging and exciting content across online platforms including website, email and social media. They will be a great team player, have a passion for history, and have excellent communication skills.
This is a real chance to get creative and help shape and grow the digital output of this year’s exciting programme.
The timings and duration of all placements can be flexible to suit applicants’ study/term times (if applicable) and will be paid at either, National Minimum/Living Wage (*age dependant). Full induction and training will be provided.

Interviews will be held on Monday 8 July 2024
Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses is available for all candidates attending an interview.
