A new guidance document on patient and public participation in armed forces has been published. The new framework is part of a suite of documents developed to strengthen patient and public participation in all of NHS England’s direct commissioning activities.
The new participation framework for Armed Forces provides practical guidance on the best ways to involve patients and the public in different services. It includes good practice examples and links to resources and organisations to support commissioners to better understand the needs and wishes of those that they serve. The framework has been developed in partnership with the armed forces commissioning team, members of the armed forces community, their families and partner organisations.
