AFF is researching the challenges that Armed Forces families may experience when transitioning to civilian life, as well as the support available to them, so we can identify any gaps.
We would like to follow families through the transition process to gain a better understanding of the practical and emotional aspirations and challenges that surround transition, to give us a much broader understanding of the needs and wants of transitioning families.

In particular, the AFF Foreign & Commonwealth Specialist Katherine Houlston drew soldiers from Inverness to access her expert knowledge.
