I Am Unconquered took Bronze in the Heroes category in the Information/Documentary group. The programme follows four British Invictus Games athletes through their everyday struggles and explores the transformative power of sport.
It was created by Will Warren – a Forces Radio BFBS Producer – and Poppy Pawsey, a former Royal Marine bandswoman.

Legendary House DJ and producer Lenny Fontana has recorded an exclusive two-hour music special for Forces Radio BFBS.
Fontana shares personal anecdotes about his life and career with Forces Radio BFBS Producer, Neil Moore, starting with his formative years in New York when he absorbed a diverse range of music.
Fontana says: “It was one of the deepest and most candid interviews I was ever asked to be a part of. A very proud moment to share my history and personal experiences.”
Read moreA group of service leavers and veterans are setting their sights on a new career in the media industry, as they prepare to join the Forces Media Academy (FMA) in September.
They will be the second intake of students to embark on the Creative Media Production course at the Academy, which was established last year as part of the Services Sound & Vision Corporation (SSVC).
Director of the Forces Media Academy, Alistair Halliday, said: “The standard of applicants who undertook the comprehensive final selection was very high and their motivation and aptitude for creative media was impressive.
Read moreThe UK’s Naval Support Facility (UKNSF) in Bahrain now has its own radio station, as Forces Radio BFBS Middle East goes on air for the first time across the base this morning.
The station will broadcast live from Bahrain for six hours on weekdays from 6am -12 noon (local time) and from 6am-9am on Saturdays. The Breakfast Show will also be heard across the station’s extensive UK network during an early slot.

Nicky Ness, Director of Forces Broadcasting and Entertainment, said: “Once again we are inviting charities to get in touch, as the Big Salute can help with specific projects that benefit all areas of the forces community.
“Last year we were able to donate funds to thirteen different charities based nationwide. We look forward to bringing you their stories across our TV, radio and digital platforms.”
