Billericay based angling / outdoor brand Outlaw Pro are pleased to announce that Phoenix Heroes are their charity of choice for 2023.
Here at Outlaw Pro we’re big supporters of charity and putting something back into our community so every year we raise and donate a huge amount of both cash and resources to a worthy cause. One of our team, Rob Hughes, is an Ambassador for Phoenix Heroes and when we learned more about them, met the team, and saw the important and great work that they do we simply wanted to help further. These guys and girls have done a lot for us and we want to give something back” announced Stewart Lawson CEO at Outlaw Pro.
Phoenix Heroes are a Colchester based non-profit Community Interest Company operating nationally supporting veterans, families, carers and serving members of the armed forces. Through localised support projects they offer fishing opportunities, coaching, and skills days as both relaxation, respite and networking opportunities across all three services.

Our mission is to raise awareness across the UK about the high number of veterans that are dealing with mental health difficulties and to help our veterans and their families live a normal life again. Through our networks we want to provide support to as many veterans as possible so they can take part in the outdoor activity days being delivered across our communities UK wide.
We are totally reliant on funding and support. Outlaw Pro generously offer both to us for which I, and our community, are hugely grateful for.
Outlaw Pro and their team will be providing fishing tackle and funding for a number of events including a high-profile pro-am event in the summer. They will also use their extensive national presence to raise awareness of Phoenix Heroes important work.
What this means to Cobseo Members?
It means that we are in a much stronger position to support more veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces and our Veteran Carp Angling Community. This strengthens our Tackle 4 Heroes project that has been running for two years which is now a national project. Under this project we receive fishing tackle donations from the public and businesses around the UK allowing us to give freely to our beneficiaries so they can join our community.
