This year’s Pension Awareness Week is 12 -16 September, with the National Pension Awareness Day falling as usual on the 15 September.
Beginning back in 2014 by the team at Pension Geeks, the annual Pension Awareness Day aims to highlight the importance of pension saving.
Over one week, the pensions industry comes together to provide free events, webinars and pension clinics to help the public and employers understand pensions and how to achieve the retirement they want.
With just 3 weeks to go, we have been busy making our own preparations for a week full of events, webinars, live sessions, and daily pension tips & facts, and some myth busting!
We will deliver a number of briefing events, and we will be collaborating with the MOD to deliver two Live@Lunch webinars to a Defence-wide audience. The webinars will cover financial aspects of resettlement/retirement and AFPS15. There will be plenty to help you get to grips with your pension, and once the programme is confirmed and dates/times set it will be advertised here and via social media.
And finally, although just out of Pension Awareness Week, but still very much part of our campaign, we have arranged an additional webinar with our friends at Officers’ Association for the 26 September.
So, watch this space, follow us on social #ArmedForcesPensions #AFPAW22 and for those of you (and partners/spouses) with other pensions (or are thinking about it) you must check out the Pension Geeks Pension Awareness Campaign – they will be sharing impartial, and down-to-earth pension information, and it’s all free!
Why get involved? Because, as we always say, it pays to understand your pension.
