Poppyscotland is on the lookout for Scots – and all Scots-at-heart – to come along and take part in a charity Ceilidh in Fife. The leading Armed Forces charity will host a special St Andrew’s Day Ceilidh, at Burntisland Golf Club, on 30 November (from 6:30pm).
Music will be provided by the well-known local Kingdom Ceilidh Band and a three-course meal will be served. Tickets cost £30 and there will also be a raffle, silent auction and sweepstake to win £200. All monies raised on the night will go towards supporting the Armed Forces community and their families in Fife and across all of Scotland.
Raffle prizes include vouchers for gin tours, hampers, a gym membership, flight simulator, and, best of all, McEwan Fraser Legal are offering a full corporate hospitality voucher for two at either a Ross County or Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC home game.
Gordon Michie, the Head of Fundraising at Poppyscotland, said:
“St Andrew’s Day is one of the most iconic days in the Scottish calendar and there will no doubt be scores of Ceilidhs taking place all across the country come November 30th. And to that number, we are proud to add our own Poppyscotland Ceilidh which will no doubt prove to be a fantastic evening of dancing and dining at Burntisland Golf Club.”
Gordon added:
“While fun will very much be had by all, the event will also provide another opportunity for us to raise vital funds for members of the Armed Forces community in Scotland. So, for those that pick up a ticket for the Ceilidh, you will be ensuring that you join beside us in supporting our veterans and that we are behind them. Always.”
Doors open at 6:30pm, with food served at 7pm before the Ceilidh begins at 8pm. Limited tickets will be available at the venue, so those keen to attend should contact Jodie Whitham, at Poppyscotland, on 07458 064 770, or at J.Whitham@poppyscotland.org.uk. Tickets can also be purchased from the Poppyscotland website: www.poppyscotland.org.uk/ceilidh.
