The Army Benevolent Fund is delighted to award a grant of £45,000 to the Army Families Federation (AFF) towards its support for Army families.
The Army Families Federation (AFF) is an independent charity for serving soldiers and their families. It works closely with the MOD and other agencies to provide specialist advice on housing, health, education and childcare, and employment. It has also developed unique expertise on issues around money and allowances where the demand for help and advice from service families has seen consistent growth in recent years.
Our grant will partly fund the costs of a full-time Money and Allowances Specialist, and part-time Assistant, to help support service families with enquiries about money, military allowances, and benefits, or if they are financially or commercially disadvantaged due to service life.
Collette Musgrave, AFF Chief Executive, said:
“We are grateful for the continued support we receive from the Army Benevolent Fund, for our work to provide tailored guidance to serving personnel and their families.”
Brigadier (Ret’d) Peter Monteith, Chief Operating Officer, Army Benevolent Fund, added:
“Our charity is always proud to fund the AFF’s work for soldiers and their families coping with financial, cost-of-living, and other welfare challenges. Its expertise as the voice of Army families is widely recognised and admired.”
