About us
The RAF Association is one of the leading providers of welfare support to the RAF community. We exist to ensure that the sacrifice of veterans and serving RAF personnel (and their families) does not result in suffering, poverty, loneliness or isolation. Last year, we supported over 85,500 members of the RAF community who required practical, emotional or financial assistance.
About the team
The finance office is a small (but growing) team of passionate, solution focused individuals. Reporting to the Chief of Finance, the team are involved in providing financial and accounting services to the Association and its subsidiary companies. Using a variety of financial products (such as SAGE), the team manipulates large volumes of financial date accurately and timely to reduce risks around cash flow.
About you
You will be part qualified or finalist AAT (or qualified by experience) and have a background of working in a similar sized accounts department (up to £10M and 250 employees). Experience of accounting software such as SAGE along with up to date knowledge in the production of statutory and management reports and accounts is an essential requirement for this role. We are looking for a ‘hands on’ problem solver who can reconcile multiple income streams along with other duties that would be expected of this type of role, for example reviewing and reconciling control accounts and balance sheet accounts.
