We’re looking for volunteers to join our Lived Experience Panel – a new group helping the Royal British Legion shape its policy, research, and campaigns in the future.
About you: We welcome applications from individuals aged 18 or over, from all backgrounds, who have lived experience relevant to the Armed Forces community. This includes:
- Veterans
- Close family members of veterans
- Close family members of Serving personnel
- Bereaved family members
Family members may include spouses and partners, children, stepchildren, parents, and siblings.
Unfortunately, we are unable to involve currently Serving personnel in this pilot, but we are working on wider ways to engage Serving personnel in our future work.
As a panel member, you’ll:
- Share your insights to influence national support
- Take part in workshops, research, and campaigns
- Receive training and build new skills
- Help shape how we involve lived experience voices in future
Duration & commitment: This pilot runs from May to October 2025 and offers flexible ways to get involved, remotely or in person.
We are committed to ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all panel members. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know, and we will work with you to provide the necessary support.
