As the Carrier Strike Group embarks on Operation High Mast in 2025, we acknowledge the challenges faced by sailors, marines, and their families during this extended deployment.
Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity is dedicated to supporting those who serve and have sponsored Wellbeing Bags for the loved ones of those participating in Operation High Mast.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible corporate sponsors – Babcock International Group, Thales, and Capita Team Fisher – whose volunteers have been actively involved in preparing the wellbeing bags. Their commitment to the wellbeing of naval families is truly inspiring.
Andrew Jameson, CEO of Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Babcock International Group, Thales, and Capita Team Fisher for their unwavering support of our naval families during this deployment. Their generosity and dedication in providing volunteers to help prepare the Wellbeing Bags demonstrate a profound commitment to those who serve and their loved ones. These partnerships embody the true spirit of community and solidarity, ensuring that families remain supported, informed, and connected throughout this challenging deployment. On behalf of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, thank you for standing by our service personnel and their families.”
The wellbeing bags contain carefully curated packs designed to provide loved ones with the resources and support they need throughout the deployment period, ensuring they have access to essential information and assistance. Each bag includes two informative booklets: ‘A Pocket Guide to Royal Navy Charities’ and ‘Strengthening Families – By Your Side’. These booklets were created in response to the ongoing need for support for serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary (including reservists), and their families.
Designed to guide families through the challenges of naval life, these resources are especially helpful during periods of deployment and separation. Bags are being distributed at family and wellbeing days or are given to serving personnel to pass on to a chosen family member. Additionally, we offer support to families transitioning to civilian life, recognising that this adjustment period can be challenging.
Being part of a naval family can be tough, especially during deployments and operations. Whether you’re serving abroad or waiting for a safe return, we are here for you every step of the way.
