The Department for Education introduced the Service Pupil Premium in April 2011 in recognition of the specific and unique challenges children from Service families face.
The Ministry of Defence has now produced a booklet showing a selection of effective, creative and innovative ways in which both primary and secondary schools have used the available funding to support Service children.
The ideas range from funding liaison officers to supplying memory boxes for children; they all have a common goal, to provide additional pastoral support to Service families.
