Military charity Alabaré are hosting a thrilling three part ‘Snowdon Challenge’ event this September to raise money for homeless and vulnerable Veterans. Participants will cycle 17km to the foot of Mount Snowdon, hike 7km to the summit before dropping back down and finally finishing with a 4km kayak across Llyn Padarn!
This adrenaline-filled expedition will be led by former SAS soldier turned TV presenter Major Ken Hames. Major Hames is a distinguished explorer and expedition leader, who is passionate about the work Alabaré do in supporting ex-service personnel.
Major Ken Hames said:
“I am delighted to be able to lead on this fundraising event working alongside Alabaré. It promises to be a challenging event but one that will bring with it an amazing sense of achievement when completed.”
The event will include overnight accommodation on Saturday 21 September before an action packed day on Sunday 22 September when the challenge will take place across an estimated 10 to 12 hours!
