Norton House, Stanford Hall, Loughborough
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity opened the brand-new Norton House, Stanford Hall in October 2018 – we are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual to help us support military families.
Providing home-from-home accommodation to Armed Forces families supporting their loved ones throughout their rehabilitation process, the property is designed to be an invaluable sanctuary for relatives as they focus on the bigger task at hand.
Norton House, Stanford Hall offers a welcoming, non-clinical place to stay for families supporting injured military relatives at the newly-built Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC).
The Norton House project has been running for over 10 years. This latest property in the Norton House legacy replaced Norton House, Headley Court, ensuring that SSAFA is always close to the heart of military rehabilitation.
About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Family Support Worker who will support the running of Norton House, helping to carry on the legacy of the Norton Homes and continue the excellent working relationship with Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC).
The Family Support Worker will be responsible for providing appropriate practical and emotional support to the residents at Norton House, Stanford Hall. The post holder will support the day to day running of the home, ensuring a safe and secure environment which safeguards the residents.
