Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary from: £33,475 – £37,786

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Arrears Recovery & Income Accounting Lead to work within our small, busy, charity finance team, in the delivery of our customer-focussed supported housing, serving ex-service personnel and their dependents. The role will involve providing an effective and responsive housing management service with regard to rent arrears and income management to all Stoll properties.

Experience:

  • Significant experience of working within the Social Housing Sector with highly developed relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, plus the ability to influence, deal with difficult behaviours and manage conflict to resolution with tenants.
  • Significant arrears recovery experience, ideally in social housing and/or the voluntary sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in recovering debts from tenants and commercial customers, using enforcement procedures within a customer-focused environment.
  • Experienced in Rent & Service Charge setting legislation and procedures.
  • Experience of dealing with difficult customers, some of whom may be demanding, vulnerable or under stress.
  • Experience of manipulating/interrogating ledger and information systems.
  • Experience of analysing management information and making recommendations to inform decision-making.
