Stoll awarded a Silver Award in Employer Recognition Scheme for supporting the Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defence has awarded Stoll a Silver Award in their Employer Recognition Scheme, for being employers who actively support the Armed Forces community in their workplace.

Stoll recently pledged its continued support to Servicemen and women by re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant and recently had the honour of hosting The Chief of Defence People, Lieutenant General Richard Nugee CVO CBE. The Covenant ensures fairness and equal opportunity for service and ex-service personnel, reservists and their families.

Chief Executive, Ed Tytherleigh, said: “Receiving this award is a real badge of honour for Stoll. We exist to support Veterans in the community and are of course proud to support members of the Armed Forces in our workforce. Stoll is absolutely committed to fulfilling the Covenant and this is one way we continue to do so.”

Charlotte Howes, a Stoll Executive Officer and Naval Reserve said: “I have always felt supported in my role in the Naval Reserves whilst working at the charity Stoll. Thanks to their flexibility and understanding, I’ve been able to fulfil my required training and progress in my naval career. I am proud to be employed by Stoll and happy they have been recognised with this award.”

The award scheme, which attracts entries from companies in every part of the country and in the private and public sectors, has seen a rapid increase in participation since it launched in 2014.
