Yesterday (Thursday 10 June), Dan Skipp successfully completed a 60k ultra-marathon in memory of his veteran grandfather who sadly passed away last year. Dan decided to carry out the challenge on what would have been his grandfather’s 99th birthday.
He raised over £1.5k for Care for Veterans, a Worthing-based charity which provides care and rehabilitation for disabled ex-service personnel. Dan’s route took him past Care for Veterans and several of the resident veterans met him with cheers of encouragement and words of thanks.
Dan was supported to complete his challenge by his company, Property Fusion. Colleagues and friends gathered at the finish line at the company’s premises on Portland Road, Hove, to cheer his accomplishment.
