Following a very successful visit to the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) in August to get a feel for the surroundings for the new LGBT Armed Forces Community Memorial, we are starting our regional workshops to discuss what we want in a memorial in the near future. It’s really important that we connect with as many members of the LGBT Armed Forces community (serving or veteran) as possible, so do come and join us!
We are kicking off in Portsmouth on 9 September from 1300 to 1600 at Agamemnon Housing, Sirius Court, Sackville Street, Portsmouth PO5 4HA. Anthony Knight, our local VCW, is coordinating the day, and there’s a sign-up form for anyone from the LGBT Armed Forces Community to attend. To register, please fill out the form here. The second regional workshop will be in Edinburgh on 13 September from 1200 to 1500, City Chambers (Lord Provost rooms), High Street, EH1 1YJ.
