The Royal Artillery Association (RAA) – Assistant Association Secretary

The RAA is a military charity that exists to promote efficiency through comradeship and welfare support to serving and retired Gunners and their families.  The Association is seeking to appoint an Assistant Association Secretary, who also acts as the Association’s communications and administrative officer.  This is a key role within the small team that administers the RAA.  Working closely with and when necessary deputising for the Association Secretary, the post holder is responsible for all aspects of communications and administrative support within the RAA office.  The role also involves close liaison with Association branches and members and with other Gunner charities, particularly the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund (RACF).

This post is funded by the Association, but the successful applicant will work within a military environment with military and civil service colleagues.  Terms and conditions are aligned where possible with those applicable to Civil Servants.  The successful candidate will need to undergo MOD security checks.

Location:  Royal Artillery Barracks, Larkhill SP4 8QT

Salary:  Competitive and dependant on qualifications & experience

Hours:  37.5 per week with occasional evening and weekend commitments.  25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
