The Veterans Charity and the teams from the Camborne & Redruth and Penwith Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club’s are hosting with the generous support of the Officer Commanding HMS Seahawk (Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose) the first “Big” Breakfast event for the county.
This follows on from smaller gatherings and the integration and support of a number of the Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Clubs across Cornwall, as well as events around this years national Armed Forces Day event in Falmouth.
The Big Breakfast at Culdrose, will also be supported by a number of organisations, other charities and CIC’s to offer support and advice to those attending. As we believe in working together closely with a wide range of partners to support the veterans community, in our own specialised ways.
We would like to thank our sponsors and the Captain of HMS Seahawk for their support to make this event a possibility and we look forward to more events in support of the wider Armed Forces Community in Kernow.
The Big Breakfast will be followed in the afternoon, by a tour of the nearby WW2 Anti Aircraft Battery at Predannack, on the Lizard peninsula. This nearly intact site is currently being restored by a number of volunteers including local veterans, and will be complete with a 3.7″ gun!
As for the first batch of 100 Breakfast tickets have now sold out and an extra 50 tickets have recently been made available. Sales will close in early September. Please follow the link for more details.
