Updates from the Forces Welfare Media Team

The Forces Welfare Media Team has been in the South West, finding out how the RFEA has helped a former Royal Marine into a rewarding civilian job with a demolition firm in Plymouth.

They’ve also filmed with two charities that have been helped by grants from the Royal British Legion.  The team joined veterans and servicemen and women leaving the forces as they learned building and decorating skills with Building Heroes and braved chilly Cornish waters for a day at the beach with Surf Action and a group of forces families.

In Scotland, they’ve been to visit the new residents of a home provided by the Scottish Veterans’ Garden City Association and the ex-servicemen learning football and life skills with Glasgow Veterans United.

You can see these and all the team’s other videos by liking their Facebook page –  facebook.com/forceswelfaremedia, by going to http://forces.tv/topic/forces-welfare and by following them on Twitter (@forceswelfare).

If you’d like to discuss how they might feature the work your charity’s doing in 2017, email the team at welfaremedia@ssvc.com.
