Due to CV-19, our Spring Rural Weeks programme at Bicton College has been postponed and we hope to restart it at Bicton (subject to Govt advice) on 13th September and run a full Autumn programme.
In the meantime, we are planning to run Virtual Rural Weeks (VRW) for service leavers and veterans which will consist of 3 days of presentations by our subject matter experts including advice about current and post CV-19 opportunities, networking, an introduction to our new Rural Employment Manager and instructions about follow-up. We hope that VRW will complement Rural Weeks and help you with your planning during these uncertain times.
What do we want from you?
In the absence of the face to face opportunity to get to know the other people on the course which mealtimes (and the students bar!) afford during a Rural Week, we would ask you to send us a short pen pic about yourself which we can share with the other individuals on the course and our presenters.
It only needs to contain your name, Service and details of which areas of the land-based sector you are most interested in and will help us all to make the most of our 3 days together.
The timetable for VRW is opposite; when you commit to the 3 days for VRW if you have any burning questions it would be a great help if you could send them to us as it will make the sessions much more interactive and of course help to increase your knowledge which is the object of the exercise..!
VRW is not a substitute for a Rural Week but we hope it will help you with your planning, add to your network of contacts, and increase your knowledge of the many and varied opportunities throughout the UK for individuals who bring military skills and experience to the land-based sector.
