We are proud to announce that the VSC has been awarded Gold in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). As Cobseo Members will know, the ERS encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. The Club has progressed through the Bronze and Silver Award stages and is now one of 127 organisations across the UK which has been selected for Gold in 2021.
Air Commodore Nigel Beet CBE welcomed the news of the Gold ERS and said
“We are delighted that we have been awarded Gold in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme 2021. It has been a challenging year for the VSC and everyone, but this excellent news recognises the terrific support from the membership which enables the Club’s Trustees and staff to contribute to the support of the Defence community, through the delivery of our charitable objectives”.
The VSC always welcomes new members from serving personnel of all ranks including Reservists, Service leavers, veterans and their spouses and family members.
