Leading Armed Forces charity, Walking With The Wounded (‘WWTW’), has just announced a new partnership with Forces Support, a UK Bereavement and Veterans Charity, who are providing funding for WWTW’s North-East hub, based in North Shields.
WWTW has had a presence in the North-East since 2018. It has been fully operational in the area since June 2019, however, the development of the physical hub started in March 2020, and it was officially opened on Remembrance Day 2020. The hub provides veteran housing, access to welfare and employability support to ex-military, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities. Forces Support has agreed to provide three years of funding for the new North-East hub.
