Do you have what it takes to be part of the Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) team?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our organisation, working within our Marketing team to help raise our profile through PR & Communications.  This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing charity that provides life-changing support to the lives of veterans and their families. It is also a key role for WWTW and we are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join us in this maternity cover role.

To support our ex-servicemen and women, we rely on funding from key partners and the public. To reach those audiences, we rely on an agile, creative, and proactive marketing team.  As the Communications Manager, you are crucial to the success of that team and it’s support function to the organisation. In this role you will be responsible for delivering impactful regional press and media coverage, writing compelling copy across a range of our outputs, as well as briefing external agency partners.

This role would suit someone with solid PR experience, who is confident in approaching press with opportunities, and who has experience tying together a PR strategy with an omni-channel approach – reaching into our digital platforms and working in tight collaboration with the wider marketing team to do so.

Experience of having served or working with veterans is not a prerequisite, but a service-mentality and being a helpful and responsive member of the charity is key. There is a strong culture at WWTW; a solution focused, supportive, can-do attitude – it is essential to us that this ethos is maintained in all areas.

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and career as a Communications Manager in a supportive, inclusive environment.
