Walking With The Wounded – Events Executive

Location: Greater Manchester, Norfolk or Home Based

Salary: £20,000 – £24,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 hour perweek

Contract Type: Permanent

Do you have what it takes to be part of the Walking With The Wounded team?  We have an exciting opportunity for you to become our Events Executive, joining a small but dedicated team empowering ex-service personnel to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities.

As the Events Executive you will be responsible for the management of the 3rd party portfolio of events for Walking With The Wounded, including the Great North Run, London Landmarks Half Marathon & the Marathon des Sables.

You will work closely with the Events Manager to deliver an excellent supporter experience for our participants, ensuring a seamless journey from pre to post event.  You will ably assist the Events Manager on delivering our two major bespoke events – the Cumbrian Challenge and Walking Home For Christmas.

This is a fast-paced delivery role and you will have a fabulous opportunity to learn, develop and contribute in a charity that is at the cutting edge of event fundraising. In this role no two days are the same and every day will bring new challenges for you to get stuck into.

Walking With The Wounded supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, We specialise in developing pathways into employment with organisations who recognise and value the unique skills and qualities embedded within our ex-service personnel.
