As our Marketing Manager, you will be an integral addition to our Marcomms (Marketing and Communications) team and as such, will find yourself working closely with not just the Head of Marketing and Engagement, but many different teams and stakeholders to help reach, delight and excite our target audiences.
You will oversee day-to-day marketing activity across multiple channels (social media, email, website, video, collateral etc.). With your help, Walking With The Wounded will be in the position to create and deliver compelling campaigns and propositions that resonate with our audience.
You should see yourself as an expert in your field with a crucial part to play in the success of Walking With The Wounded. You will bring passion and enthusiasm of marketing (incl. digital) to the team with the view of promoting the organisation and our fundraising activities. You will also help generate new ideas and support the delivery of campaigns and events.
Walking With The Wounded helps veterans and families with a story to share… often a difficult one to tell. And every once in a while, after we’ve helped them turn the page and start a new chapter in their book, they help scribble a few pages in ours.
Take Shaun for example; Shaun was 19 when he joined the Grenadier Guards in 2008. He was twice deployed to Afghanistan and during both tours he experienced significant, traumatic events. Things went downhill after he left the Army. He struggled to sleep, waking 10 to 15 times with nightmares he would stand disoriented in his family home. We were lucky enough to hear Shaun’s story, lucky enough to help rebuild his life and to help him get back to where he wanted to be; not just for himself but for his wife and children.
From downhill to uphill! In 2021, Shaun and his team from the business he now owns, decided to take on the toughest route at our flagship event the Cumbrian Challenge, all whilst carry a rowing machine. Stories. That’s what Walking With The Wounded is all about, and now we need YOU to help us ensure that people hear these stories and are compelled to take action to support us and the Armed Forces Community we care so passionately about.
We look forward to receiving your application!
