Walking With The Wounded – Operations Administrator

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Location: Stody, Norfolk

Salary: £21K

Hours: Full time 37.5 (e.g. 9-5, half hour unpaid break), part time would be considered

Contract Type: Permanent

Company benefits: 5% Employer pension contribution and Employee Assistance programme

Do you have what it takes to be part of the Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) team? We have an opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our small but dedicated team in Stody, Norfolk; empowering ex-service personnel to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities

WWTW supports disadvantaged veterans who have served in the Armed Forces and their families. We are looking for an experienced administrator to support our senior management team and our programmes. Someone who has experience working in a small office, where anything and everything might arise – from ordering heating oil to arranging plumbers to dealing with customers on the phone – someone with a strong can-do attitude would be a great fit for our team.

You will provide administrative support to members of the senior management team, assisting with meeting management, preparing reports, proof reading documents and correspondence.  You will manage some of the WWTW generic inboxes, which is often the first point of contact for beneficiaries needing support, where you will need to listen and then redirect them to the right person. You will also use our database (full training provided) to send electronic evaluation forms to clients, so someone comfortable using a database would be useful.

The ideal candidate may have previous experience as an Administration Assistant or perhaps in a finance assistant role with strong attention to detail and the ability to work without supervision.  You should have exceptional knowledge of Microsoft programs with excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbally. You should be naturally calm under pressure, flexible and agile in terms of your own diary management, comfortable with dealing with confidential information, strong record keeping skills and the ability to multitask.

You will also be the Health & Safety coordinator in our Stody office, supported by WWTW’s Safety Manager with a set of responsibilities that includes testing the fire alarm, testing fire drill procedure, testing emergency lighting, maintaining the accident and hazard logs and promoting good health & safety practice within the office.

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, inclusive & friendly environment. In this role no two days are the same and every day will bring new challenges for you to get stuck into.

With Covid-19 WWTW has implemented some hybrid working arrangements, this post will be predominantly office based to support the daily functional elements required of the role, once it is safe to do so.
