6.00 – 8.00 PM
Royal British Legion, Haig House, 199 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1AA
Every year, we celebrate and commemorate the lives of those who have fought and fallen for their country. Still, we know very little of the people they leave behind. We warmly invite you to join us in recognising and celebrating the lives of Britain’s war widows past and present, to listen to their stories, and learn about their experiences.
Together with the members of the War Widows’ Association of Great Britain, and with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Liverpool John Moores University, Dr Nadine Muller and Dr Ailbhe McDaid have begun an important undertaking: to record and raise awareness of the life stories of war widows and their children.
We now hope you will join us for a drinks reception at which we will celebrate and introduce you to the stories we have gathered over the past year and look to future.
Book your place for this special occasion via email (info@warwidowsstories.org.uk) or by registering here.
With very best wishes,
Dr Nadine Muller (Project Leader, War Widows’ Stories)
Dr Ailbhe McDaid (Research Assistant, War Widow’s Stories)
